Our History

Foster Coach Sales, Inc. was founded in 1957 by Floyd E. Foster in Sterling, IL with a mission to provide funeral coaches and ambulances produced by the top-quality manufacturers of the day.  Over the course of several decades, the company continued to grow and flourish.  Hard work, a strong commitment to meeting the needs of the customer, and exceptional service after the sale were all key factors in the company’s success.  In 1995, a decision was made to redirect the focus of the company and concentrate solely on the sales and service of ambulances.  Foster Coach has been fortunate to have partnered with many of the industry’s leading ambulance manufacturers over the years and today the family-owned business provides new ambulances to providers in four states.  Foster Coach is proud to have been recognized as being one of the top dealers, if not the top dealer, for each of the brands it has represented.  This could not have been accomplished without the loyalty of our valued customers! 

Foster Coach also continues to see a marked increase in its in-house ambulance remount business.  With service personnel dedicated to performing remounts, as well as a state-of-the-art paint/body repair facility on site, Foster Coach is more than capable of handling the remount of your current ambulance body on to a new chassis.  Our comprehensive remount process meets or exceeds all established industry standards.
