Ron McNinch

It is with a heavy heart that I write this note.  Our beloved long-time service manager, Ron McNinch passed away on June 27, 2023 after a courageous 7-month battle with cancer.  His love and dedication to his family as well as his role at Foster Coach were unsurpassed. 

Ron joined the Foster Coach team on February 2, 1994, and was extremely instrumental in the growth and success of the business.  He would wax each new unit by hand, and had a desk in the laundry room until we moved him over to the incinerator room in our old building—believe it or not that was a step up! When we moved into our new building, Ron enjoyed an air conditioned office and was where he belonged.  Everyone who called into the service department would want to speak to “Ron” because they knew he would get them the part or the answer they needed to repair their equipment.  He was always on the lookout for a better supplier of anything we purchased and often found a better product for less money or the same product at a better price.  Ron was in charge of the shop, purchased all of the necessary parts and materials, oversaw our remount department, and was often key to the sale of our “previously enjoyed ambulances”.

We all will certainly miss him as an employee, but more so as a friend!
